Thanks to your generosity Casuarina House was completed and officially opened January 2010.
During the building of the home, we employed local people giving much needed employment to the community.
Our children who live there are one big happy family.
We employ a house “Mum”, house “Dad”, cook and cleaner to care for the children.
We also have volunteers who go out from the UK to help in the orphanage and the community.

It is lovely that the children are enjoying three meals a day in their tummies now rather than one meal every three days when we first met them.
The children attend Utange Baptist Primary school, which is just a three minute walk from Casuarina House. They are soaking up all they are taught like little sponges.
We also take care of the children's medical needs and they have been vaccinated against local diseases. (1 in 25 children in Kenya die of measles),

We are currently developing some farming land in order to help towards self-sufficiency.
Fifty per cent of our running costs go towards feeding the children.
